In every culture worldwide our front door or main entrance expresses a personal statement about ourselves or our organisation. Our door is both a protective threshold and a welcoming gateway and an open front door so often denotes two comforting things - that the society is law-abiding and at peace and secondly that visitors are welcome to step inside and are perhaps even expected.  I like that! So in this one day workshop we shall look at a variety of doorways from various cultures and enjoy the fun of illustrating their designs in pen and ink with splashes of watercolour. Your materials for the day will be provided for you to use:

Ink pens, small  watercolour brushes, and paint, watercolour paper and a palette, but do bring any of your favourite pens, watercolour paints and small brushes with you if you have them.  No experience is necessary, just the desire to  have a go, and to relax at beautiful Micklems Arts Centre  where the Door is Open and expecting you."

• A selection of tea, freshly brewed coffee, biscuits and delicious cakes. If you have any specific dietary requirements or allergies, please feel free to bring along your own provisions/milk alternatives etc

Terms - Fee is payable on booking. If, having booked, you can no longer attend, we are unable to offer a refund or transfer you onto another workshop. However, you may nominate someone else to attend the workshop or class in your place by notifying us using the contact page on the Micklems Farm website. We reserve the right to cancel a workshop up to 48 hours prior to the workshop date. We will only cancel due to insufficient places sold and you will be refunded the full amount paid.
